Da ich nur sehr wenig Zeit in Salzburg verbringen konnte, war diese E-Bike Tour ideal.
Ich bekam einen sehr umfangreichen Gesamteindruck dieser außergewöhnlichen Stadt. Zu so gut wie jedem Thema konnte man sich ausführlich näher unterhalten. (zB Sport: das Surfertreff, Veganismus, Architektur: Trapphaus, das Original und die Häuser aus den Filmen, Prominenz und geschichtlich Wissenswertes,...)
Wir hatten auch vom Wetter her viel Glück. Für mich war es das erste Mal mit einem E-Bike, es gab eine sehr gute Einschulung, einen passenden Helm und immer die Möglichkeit die Tour individuell anzupassen.

My family and I highly recommend this e-bike tour! John was outstanding even before we booked our tour, giving some advice of things we should do and see while in the Salzburg area. John also took the time to make sure that our family was the right fit for his tour and that he was the right guide for us. Even before we arrived in Austria, he had sent me several valuable pieces of information that helped us make it a wonderful vacation.

The tour began with a safety briefing, which I really appreciated. It was a very thorough tour of the surrounding countryside with a lot of incredible views and photographic points of interest. It was generally informative as well as being a wonderful Sound of Music Tour. John took us to multiple locations where various scenes were shot in the movie. He even showed us some short clips of the movie on his phone in some of the places where we were standing in the exact location of where they were filmed!

I would recommend this tour with John if you are ever in the Salzburg area!

We had a fantastic time on this private tour with John last week. It’s comprehensive and fascinating whether you’re a Sound of Music fan or not. We were impressed with John’s depth of knowledge about the movie and passion for sharing it. He was also able to supplement that with his knowledge about Salzburg in general, so much so that when we finished we felt that we had gotten a “2 for 1” tour! Riding around town on new, state of the art e-bikes allowed us to cover a lot of ground (literally and figuratively) quite comfortably and seemed to be a unique offering as compared to other bike tours in town! If you are looking for a fun, private activity with a kind and engaging host in Salzburg then look no further!

We had a great bike tour with John! He was helpful and informative in setting up our tour. He was also flexible and accommodating and worked with us to provide a tour that was just what we were looking for! We did not want a Sound of Music tour exclusively, rather an e-bike tour of Salzburg with some Sound of Music info as well. We had a great day riding and laughing with John. We had a wonderful private bike tour with John last week. John is very safety conscious and informative. We arranged for a pickup and drop off in his new van, a nice treat.
During the trip, John showed us all the wonderful spots around Salzburg and his knowledge about the sound of music was great. We circled all of Salzburg and he pointed out the locations of the movie. He also gave us ideas of other places to visit and eat in Salzburg. The e-bikes are high quality and they made the trip very nice. I think we traveled 40 kilometers during the day, but the e-bike made it a breeze. We also passed multiple other bike tours that day, each with between 12-22 bikes in the group! Our tour was much more intimate. If you are in Salzburg and are looking for a full day bike tour, John is your person!

John will give you a comprehensive tour that other Sound of Music tours offered in the city will not, pointing out unique details and bringing you close to each location.

This tour is exactly as is advertised plus more! For any Sound of Music fan or anyone who just wants to explore Salzburg, this tour should not be missed! John is very passionate and professional making sure that everyone has a fantastic day. Before hitting the road, he is takes the time to make sure that everyone is fit perfectly to their bike and helmet and that each person is comfortable riding their e-bike. Early in the tour the group stops at a great little place to get some healthy food for a picnic lunch that is eaten later along the route. Throughout the entire tour, John makes sure that everyone is kept safe from the road traffic, pedestrians as well as other bikers. This tour even includes some “secret places” that John’s groups gets to see that the other guides don’t include in their itineraries.
The small group size that is exclusive to John’s tour really makes your day very personal and relaxing and was definitely the highlight of our entire two week European vacation! It more than fulfilled my lifelong dream of seeing the Sound of Music movie sights. By the end of the tour we felt like we had spent the day hanging out with an old friend who happens to know everything about Salzburg and the “Sound of Music”.
