Just been in to have my headlight bulbs changed. The staff at the desk inside were brilliant, very friendly and efficient. But more than anything I'd like to say thank to Chelsea for assisting with the lights and giving me advice on general wear and tear of the car (It's a bit tatty). Very helpful and knowledgeable! Had an issue with my battery was served by Connor what amazing customer service. Had previously tested the battery twice told me if I break down show him the proof and he will sort a replacement as per the warranty. True to his word my car broke down I showed him the evidence and he replaced the battery for me in a matter of minutes. Friendly efficient and excellent customer service true credit to the company

I bought some engine oil via click and collect at the Wakefield. Collection in store went fine but I was in a rush so did not inspect the goods closely.
When I got home I put the 4L container by the front door intending to use it later to top up the oil. When I came back it had leaked out of the bottom. As a result I had to clean up a considerable mess in both my home and also my car boot where it had also leaked.

Upon closer inspection the bottom part of the container had been taped over using duct tape. Clearly then, the store were aware that the container had been leaking but decided to sell me it nevertheless. Of all the substances you don't want leaking, engine oil is quite high up the list, somewhere around paint and just below acid. I cannot believe that I was sold this product in such a condition. Very disappointed.

I contacted customer services. The advisor took my details and said he would contact the store to ring me. He offered no apology. I have not received a call.

My review isn't related to a purchase I made at halfords although I did collect an order. Once I got in the car I was in a really difficult situation when reversing as I had parked my car whereby my front lower bumper was scraping pavement. There was a halford staff member outside dealing with another customers vehicle. Soon as she heard the scraping sound as I was trying to reverse she stopped was she was doing and came over to help me . She took a look at my car (and so did the customer as he had previous experience dealing with cars) ,she had a torch with her and advised me not to reverse any further as that would have totally pulled my bumper off! She was so helpful,kind and caring and offered to stay with me to sort my car but had to go collect her kids. A second member of staff came to my assistance and took a look at my car and both him and the customer gave me a suggestion on how to move my car without damaging it. Both staff members and this particular customer were so so helpful and I don't know what I would have done without them. I didn't get their names but I hope this review reaches all 3 of them, they know who they are ! They all showed me so much kindness and supported me ,such lovely people. Just goes to show kind people still exist in this world. Thank you once again for your help.

Just been to Wakefield Halfords as I booked to have a bulb fitted. Chelsea served me in the shop then changed the bulb too. She was excellent! Knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. The service was superb! Thanks

Friendly employees who know what they are doing. However I booked a time slot online as I didn’t have much time during my lunch break, to then be told on arrival that it’s a first come first serve system. Not sure what the point of the online booking system is. Waited for my turn, it was quick and well fitted once done.

Knocked a ? off because all the ♿ bays were occupied by cars without blue badges on display.

The store was quiet when I entered, so I'm assuming those cars were either waiting for servicing or staff cars.

Perhaps in future at least one bay, could be left for those they are meant for?
