Ordered new battery; it was very easy to order online. Site says ready within 1 hour, but messaged around 30 mins saying it was ready. Arrived, simply up to the desk, gave my name, and brought to me, in and out in less than 5 minutes.

I bought an Halfords' car cover on line which went great, discount and next day delivery. The cover seems good and I went by the size guide which suggested going for a size larger. It was way too big. I tried half a dozen ways to contact Halfords; chat line (live busy), phone No.s all diverted to someone who put me on hold for 15mins, I eventually hung up.
Finally decided to make the trip to Ilkeston and actually speak to someone. The lad on the checkout was brilliant listened to the problem and exchanged it for a smaller size.
Very helpful but surprised they didn't stock a windscreen washer pump but he suggested I use a motor factor's.
Smaller cover fits perfectly despite size guide saying it was too short and not long enough. Cashier had suggested I try it and if it was too small I could come back for the larger one. Good service finally.
You can't beat the personal touch, ditch the infuriating, automated stuff.

Bought my first bike from halfords, have always rated Boardman bikes.

The quality of the bikes are superb, and the pricing structure is superb.

But what is lacking is the overall build of bike, brake cable left loose so was catching on wheel, gearing cable left loose and has caused gearing to stop working, had to take it to a qualified bike mechanic to fix, will never buy anything from halfords again.

Will only buy from a bike shop.

Needed new car battery, live near by, so just popped round with my son...explained what we needed, paid for it and then a very nice young man came out and fitted it for me straight away....excellent service from start to finish...thankyou ?

Only good thing was the battery check. Didn't check tyre inflation or top up coolant as they're supposed to on a 10 point check.
