My local Halfords auto shop at Blendon, Blackfen, Sidcup, Kent has always been a good provider with products and basic auto - services , products rendered. Sale periods here occur. I've lived in Blackfen for 38 years and with only a short walking distance of 5 minutes very happy and useful to know they are still here doing business. Products here overall very good, but most of I found the basic auto - services here provided by staff excellent! I thank staff member Nick who provided me an excellent service I asked for which was to fit, connect, and programme a new replacement Dash Cam. Nick was very kind, helpful, knowledgeable, in assistance. The wiring connections were pre-done in my car with the original dash cam seven years ago. An appointment is probably needed beforehand if you purchased a new dash cam and fit -up with the wiring instalment to the cars electrics from the outset. Fantastic job done Nick, you deserve full praise from your employer Halfords.?Light bulb fittings and a basic winter health check on your vehicle all part of the service here if required. Customer parking and Disabled ♿ parking spaces and accessible entrance (electric press button door entrance) here at this branch in Blackfen Road (A210). Open seven days a week. Bus stops immediately outside the shop either side of the road - TFL Bus stops B ( Blackfen Road/ Penhill) eastbound to Bexleyheath, and stop N westbound to Greenwich, Nos. 132, B13, N21. A clean spacious outlet with a various selection of useful auto, bicycle, motor bike products and accessories displayed on the shelves. Visited here on Friday midday 20/9/24 Rating 10/10, A1 especially for the frontline customer auto services...Thank you Halfords, Chris ?

It was time to replace the original wipers after 6 years. I selected Bosch for both front wipers. I was met by very helpful young man at the till. He found the order and arranged for a colleague to meet me. I had paid for fitting. Another very helpful young man removed the old wipers, one of which was quite difficult to do. I was glad I'd paid for fitting £6 each wiper. £5 discount for joining Halfords motor club. All round good value and service.

Me and my daughter recently visited this store to have a reversing light bulb replaced in her car. She had paid for the new bulb to be fitted as VW Polo bulbs are notoriously awkward to fit. On arrival at the store one of the staff was given the job of replacing the bulb, so far so good. He opened the boot of the car and said " I'm not sure how this comes out", he then proceeded to carry out the replacement by following a Google demo on his phone. He did manage to remove the unit and replace the bulb, however at this point it all started to go awry and my confidence in him was moving downwards at an alarming rate as he announced the unit wouldn't go back in. After another Googling session he did manage to get the unit back in but it was accompanied by a strange groan followed by " I've dropped the bolt and it's in the bodywork and I can't reach it". After a few unsuccessful tries he went into the store and came out with a replacement bolt. all was now well except two weeks later the whole unit was floating about in the housing. My daughter took her car back to the store and explained what had happened, another employee took a look at it and quickly determined the bolt that had been fitted was incorrect and had worked loose. The manager was called who instantly apologised and offered to obtain the correct part from VW and rectify the problem. True to his word within a couple of days a new part had been obtained and fitted correctly. My thanks to the staff at this store who without question or quibbling accepted responsibility and rectified the issue as soon as they could. My faith in the store and the members of staff are involved in the speedy resolution of this issue has been restored. Good old fashioned customer service is still alive and well.

Decent residential duty shelving that is straightforward to assemble with just a rubber mallet (and a flat blade screwdriver if needing to open up the slots a little on the frame angle for better fit/insertion of tabs on support beams as fit can be a little tight sometimes). Sturdy enough to store most items you would need to with option to configure the height between shelves as needed. Shelf boards are made of MDF and a little thin at 6mm but metal supports underneath mean they can hold a decent load (may benefit from sealing cut ends to prevent moisture warping). Should take around 15-20 mins to assemble once you have worked out how to do it and everything fits nicely together. The tabs and slots are a tight fit due to the paint thickness so expect some of the paint to come off the tabs as they get pushed in. Nice enough powder coating to prevent rusting. Shelves are sturdy with minimal wobble especially when loaded. Instructions are okay but could be better with photos. Ensure you have all parts before starting to build and parts are undamaged (the boxes I receive had small holes in the corners from shop handling but everything inside was there and fine). Shelves can (and should) be anchored to a brick wall if possible (anti-tip accessories not included). Ensure all tabs are properly and fully inserted into slots for stability as sometimes the tabs don't properly engage the first time. The ordering process online was easy and quick. Fast processing time and was ready to collect at time stated. Staff member was helpful and willing to help take out to the car if necessary. Happy with product and this was my second purchase.

The young guys working at the Blackfen store were super friendly who quickly replaced my old car battery which I purchased online as soon as I got there. Fantastic service over all.

After a terrible experience at another Halfords, this location was a breath of fresh air. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. Even though it's a bit of a trek from central London where I live, I'll definitely be back for all my future bike needs

After having a horrible experience at Halfords Charlton( the software license being expired, not having the skillset to fix it and what not), I took my ebike to this store and wow !
As soon as I enter the bike area, I was greeted with a wide smile and the guy who was there came out and was eager to help me. I explained everything and was asked to leave the bike. I got a call 2 days later for collection as it was fixed !

when I went there for collection, a lovely lady helped me out and explained what was done with my bike. I did not have to pay anything as it was still under warranty.

Really happy with the service. Shoutout to the guy who took my bike happily, to the technician who fixed it and the lovely lady who handed it over to me on the collection day. You guys are the face of the company unlike some other store who did not even try to help. Thank you soo much again, best service !!
