We went into store yesterday to return an iPad that I had bought as a gift for my brothers birthday, but I ended up ordering the wrong iPad so I thought I’d return it and get the one that he initially wanted. The lady that served us her name was something like Nasima/Naseema, Asian lady with a headscarf on, she was not understanding of the situation one bit and tried to get rid of us by saying there’s no such thing as returning electronics back to Argos and that she’s been working for the past 10 years and has never heard such a thing, honestly found that so weird, she’s been working there for 10 years but doesn’t even have basic knowledge, kinda felt sorry for her, anyway moving on she said once opened even if we hadn’t used it, there’s no way we can return it back. We had to open it to check the item but of course never used it or anything. I then had to do my own research and call up customer service and explain the whole situation to the lady on call, she was really understanding and immediately helped me out and arranged a pick up at my address for the item to go back and issue me a refund, I was honestly so happy. It’s just such a shame that lady in store didn’t have basic knowledge and made me and my family feel so stupid when really she’s the dumb one working there for 10 plus years without knowing this vital piece of information. I hope the manager has a word with her as she’s been giving out false information and making people feel stupid. Thank you

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.
The staff members are very rude and they don’t listen to what you are saying and they don’t give you the chance to explain what and why you would like to return an item.
The staff member was raising her voice over me and she didn’t want to serve me ( she said it directly to me).
This level of service is so unprofessional and unacceptable and reflects poorly on the store. I hope to see significant improvements should I decide to return in the future.

I like Argos but this one has a very bad service.. they all looks unhappy and angry.. they never answer the phone and they make problems for refund item when other Argos don’t have this issue.
I understand Stratford probably have a difficult client a bit low profile.. but the service in this Argos in Stratford is very sad.

We bought new bourn baby stuff and it was really amazing. You can find multiple range of the products in great price. Our recent visit we found store was clean and tidy. Staff was really friendly and helpful.

I was at Stratford Argos to buy a mobile internet dongle which i was able to get and assisted by the cashier on Friday 22nd March 2024. The product was 15 GB and which was clearly stated to last for 90 days.
I connected and used the dongle when i got home but the following day which was Satuday ,i found out that it was no longer working. i chatted online with the manufacturer who said if there were any issues it should be taken back to where it was purchased.
I went back to Argos Stratford on Saturday 23rd March 2024 and explained to the lady on duty Sophia who told me that the product has been opened and that i cannot get a refund, I ask for the manager on duty, who was a lady Heili and this is where i got the nightmare of my life.
she was not only rude, she just dismissed the matter and even almost chased me away from the till. Meanwhile a white lady came right in my presence with a product she doesnt like anymore and she was treated with respect and even offerred vouchers in exchange of the product she brought as compensation.
The dongle i bought was £60 pounds and returned the next day because it wasnt functioning again.I was really embarrassed and couldnt imagine the "level "of customer service.
I dont think i will patronise Argos stratford again!
I have read reviews of how customers are treated shabily at this store.Please i think this manager should be transferred to another store or retrained otherwise you will be loosing customers in that store!

Extremely Disappointed with Argos Stratford Centre's Customer Service

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with the customer service at Argos Stratford Centre. I had purchased an oil radiator from them last week, only to find out that it was not suitable for my needs. The radiator would heat up as soon as I touched it, which was a clear indication of a fault.

When I approached a member of staff to request a return, she outright refused, claiming that the item was not faulty. Her response lacked any problem-solving quality and left me feeling frustrated. I then escalated the matter to a supervisor, who seemed prepared to reject my request even before I explained the situation. The supervisor's attitude was rude and lacked any willingness to assist me. It was disheartening to experience such poor customer service, especially as I have been a regular Argos customer and have never faced such a situation before.

I am deeply disappointed with the lack of empathy and understanding shown by the staff at Argos Stratford Centre. As a loyal customer, I expect a minimum level of customer service quality.

I urge Argos to address this issue and ensure that their staff receives proper training in customer service. It is crucial that customers are treated with respect and their concerns are listened to, rather than dismissed outright. I hope that my feedback serves as an opportunity for improvement and that future customers do not have to endure the same disappointing experience that I had.
